Qualified Staff that Care and Serve you Right

Health and safety managementand awareness is increasingly becoming a key priority within the building industry. At Strata, we have had a rigid Health and Safety plan in place for many years.

An essential part of our Health and Safety plan are the risk assessments and method statements that are produced for each and every contract regardless of the size or value. We take very serious our duty of care once we start a contract. As well as an installation that is fit for purpose, we ensure that it is completed in a safe and proper manner.

At Strata, we recruit and retain the best staff. Please click on the team members below to find out pure about their experience, qualifications and interests.

I left school and immediately started a 3 year Joinery apprenticeship gaining a NVQ3 in wood occupations, along side an ACA qualification (Advanced Construction Award). A few year after completing my apprenticeship I took my first venture into the world of management, Initially on building sites as a trainee Site Agent where I would shadow and assist while learning, before running jobs solely in the small works department to gain experience. I also achieved my CSCS card accreditation during this time.

I then spent many years as self employed as a Joiner, using the practical skills and knowledge picked up previously to run and manage my own work, ranging from kitchen fitting to window stylings and all aspects of Joinery before eventually working for a construction company in the buildings insurance sector. It was during this time that I again put the shirt and tie back on and ventured into management once again, covering all of the midlands repairing properties and premises that had suffered a peril ranging from flood/fire to impact/subsidence.

After a few years in that sector, a friend and former colleague at Strata told me about a vacancy for an Installations Manager within the company, and needless to say I have never looked back. Within my relatively short time here at Strata I have completed a SMSTS course and accepted a promotion to incorporate project management along side my initial role.

My duties are to ensure our fitters are compliant to our Assure standards and to be a point of contact if they have any issues. Likewise a point of contact for any customers who have any queries or concerns. I am responsible for liaising with subcontract trades and building control for where we are completing any projects, and to ensure H&S is adhered to.

Neil joined the Strata team in September 2002 and has a wealth of industry knowledge.
